I paint because the process requires me to grow into my most alive self. Mastering the art of awareness, deep listening, and unwavering trust in the process is how I aspire to live.

Marabeth Quin, a self-taught artist from Nashville, Tennessee, embarked on her artistic journey in 2007, introducing her vibrant and captivating works to the world.

She has transcended traditional boundaries, amassing a global following of art collectors and creating two unique classes that help artists tap into their unexplored potential and master their engagement in the creative process.

Marabeth sees art as a profound exploration of the world, using a rich tapestry of subjects, materials, and platforms. Her artistic process inspires personal integration, embracing imperfection and fostering resilience and self-compassion.

“My deep fascination with mixed media collage stems from its ability to visually encapsulate the diverse fragments of life, be they beautiful or heart rending.

The act of layering and blending these disparate elements creates a unity that resonates with a sublime sense of wholeness, a magnetic force that continually captivates me.”

Marabeth finds her inspiration in the natural world—the ever-changing play of light through clouds, the gentle dance of light on water's surface, and the harmonious chaos within a garden of flowers. Whether capturing nature's beauty or expressing her personal experiences as a mother, sister, wife, and friend, she draws from the limitless experience of this expansive realm.

Marabeth paints from her home studio in Nashville, TN.

Kind words from collectors.

It’s about relationship.

“Marabeth is a very talented artist and we love her work! What keeps us coming back, however, is the care that she takes to make sure we are a part of the process and that we get what we envisioned for a particular space. She’s hard working, timely, and very fair with her prices, and we’ve been so happy with the end result for each piece we’ve purchased! We will definitely come back again!” Laurie C., Alabama

“I watched the video of Marabeth creating the painting we commissioned for our anniversary and just laid there smiling and so thrilled with our decision. The fact that we got to go along for the ride of its creation is just crazy to me…crazy awesome. Our collaboration also helped us feel a part of the gift that we were giving each other. I love it.” Meribeth, Tennessee

“Marabeth’s artwork fills me with joy!” Melissa, Texas

“Marabeth’s art brings me immense joy. I cannot express enough how wonderful she is to work with and how her paintings enrich my life.” Jen, Australia

“Marabeth’s paintings are personal, affecting sensitivity to the beautiful, especially in her art. Art is personal; it has the ability to affect emotions. It can make a person feel joyful, sad or peaceful whenever they look at it. This is true to me personally every time I look at many of Marabeth’s artworks. I am the proud owner of four Marabeth Quin paintings, two I have commissioned and the other two I bought from her collection. I view paintings from many talented artists, but none has stirred my emotions in the way Marabeth’s artwork has. It’s personal to me. In my opinion, it is indicative of a truly gifted artist.” Emily Nuzzo, Bergen County, New Jersey

FAQs

How does the painting come to me after I purchase it?

When you purchase a painting, the shipping method is determined by the surface—a paper or raw canvas painting will be rolled and shipped in a sturdy tube and is quite economical. If it is stretched onto canvas (meaning you can put it straight onto your wall), it will have to be packed flat in a box and this shipping is typically less economical but more convenient.

How do I commission a painting?

If you think you would like to commission a painting, simply contact me and we can either email or chat over zoom about the process. I have broken it down so there are no surprises—I’ll ask you a series of questions that helps me understand what you are wanting and ask your approval at different points along the way. You will never be stuck with a painting you don’t love—I would never want that! Read more about the commission process here.

How does shipping work?

If you are in the U.S., when you purchase a painting on my website, shipping will be included at checkout. If you live outside the U.S., you will pay for the painting at checkout and then I will contact you to chat about how to ship and what your options are. I always try to find the most economical way to ship that will also ensure the painting’s safety. After I ship, I will bill you separately for the shipping costs.

Can I visit your studio?

Currently, I don’t have a private studio. I paint in the basement of my house and, unfortunately, am not necessarily set up for guests. But if you are interested in seeing something in particular, simply ask me and we can set an appointment for you to view my work.

What if there is damage in shipping?

I always purchase insurance and it will be included in your shipping price. If there is damage upon arrival, just keep the packaging material and contact me so I can make a claim and we can get your money back or paint you something else.

Are you in any galleries where I can view your work?

At present, I have elected to make my painting career as ‘in house’ as possible and solely represent myself. I enjoy the personal contact with my collectors and feel I can control my artistic life a bit better when I don’t have obligations to fulfill to galleries. For now, this allows me to take commissions and it suits my creative flow. If there is anything you would like to see in person, we can arrange it. Just let me know!
