This painting is made almost entirely of layered semi-transparent papers that I tint myself with different kinds of acrylic paint and then paint botanical figures on them with acrylic or watercolors. I then layer them over one another, each revealing what lies below it. At the end, I add bold botanical figures that are the main players in the painting composition—these are usually painted on either Abaca Teabag Paper or Rice Paper.
