Liminal Wonder
SIZE 30” x 30” x 1.5”
mixed media collage on canvas
includes a black floater frame, pre-wired so it is ready to hang right out of the box. This frame is made by a local craftsman and takes approximately 2 weeks to manufacture. If you would rather do your own framing, just let me know and I’ll only send the painting to you.
This painting is made with acrylic paint and glazes, acrylic inks, collage paper, and various mark making tools like Art Graf tailor’s chalk.
About This Painting: On a social media post of one of my pieces in progress, someone referred to it as having a ‘liminal’ quality, which I loved. When I was titling this piece, I thought ‘Liminal Wonder’ was the perfect title because this painting was one of the last 3 of the series which all proved to be the closest renditions of something I was trying to discover with all of them, and clear indicators of where I was going. Having wonder and awe at something (whether it be a time of life, a painting, or a physical place) you recognize to literally be the ‘in between’ connecting piece between where you were and where you are going is something I am definitely becoming more interested in. If it weren’t for those ‘in between’ times, we quite possibly would not feel the connection of everything. Art has trained me to relish the ‘in between’ spaces.
Shipping + How This Painting Arrives: Only customers living in North America will have their shipping reflected at checkout. If you live outside of the U.S./Canada, contact me before purchase and I will handle your purchase personally. I ship paintings like this flat and very carefully packaged to protect it during transit. I do my best to ship within 3 days of receiving your frame, which typically takes about 2 weeks to manufacture.
Sometimes auto-calculated shipping can really vary from actual costs, especially if you order multiple paintings that I can ship together. If I find that what You have paid for shipping is far above the actual shipping cost + expenses, I will refund the difference to you.

Note: I sign my artwork on the back so it doesn’t intrude on the painting. If you’d prefer to have a signature on the front, just let me know.
